One Nottingham

One Nottingham (ON) is the Local Strategic Partnership for the city of Nottingham, chaired by Graham Allen MP. The partnership has representatives from the city council, other public sector; private sector and voluntary and community sector. They are supported by a staff team lead by Chief Executive Andrew Balchin.

One Nottingham is required to improve the city’s performance against the Government’s Floor Targets – tackling the gap so that no one’s life chances are disadvantaged by where they live or the community they come from.

One Nottingham is supported in its work by six Theme Partnerships, who involve the VCS in different ways. There is also a developing Communities and Neighbourhoods theme partnership.

The voluntary and community sector is represented on the ON Board by two people:

- Afzal Sadiq, Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire Racial Equality Council, representing Black and Minority Ethnic communities
- Helen Voce,
Chief Executive of Nottingham Council for Voluntary Service, who was recently re-elected following a city-wide election.

Neighbourhood Renewal Fund

One Nottingham administer a budget of approximately £15m NRF. This is used to deliver projects that improve the lives of the 60% of Nottingham’s residents who live in areas of deprivation.
