Young money

The Youth Capital Fund has a significant surplus of funding that must be allocated and spent before the end of March 2008. If you work with a group of young people aged between 13-19 and living within the City of Nottingham who are in need of capital funding to make their dreams a reality, the Youth Capital Fund is here to help. More information. Please note the short deadline for this funding - Friday 29 February.

 

Fancy a cuppa?

As requested by residents, Dunkirk and Lenton Partnership Forum are holding regular drop-in sessions every Thursday afternoon at the Lenton Centre. Get advice from local services, and meet other residents over a board game or cup of tea. Details here.

 

Unpaid work

Nottinghamshire Probation Service invite you to have your say on the delivery of Unpaid Work in the East Midlands. Formerly known as Community Service, Unpaid Work is a way for offenders to ‘pay back’ for their crimes, by making a real contribution to improving the lives of local communities. There is a consultation document and an event being held to get your views on their draft proposal. Find out more and have your say.

Active advisors

Nottingham City Primary Care Trust is inviting tenders for the provision of a Physical Activity Advisors service. The successful provider will employ four full time equivalent Physical Activity Advisors, to provide specialist motivational support to individuals from priority groups, in order to increase their physical activity levels. Commissioning meetings

The Strategic Partnership for Children, Young People and Families has recently undergone a process to decommission Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and Children's Fund projects. The team is now in the process of pulling together service specifications with a view to going out to tender for delivery in September / October 2008. Nottinghamshire Infrastructure Consortium are looking for a worker to develop a disability infrastructure project. Here is the brief and the application form - please share this with any groups you work with that may be interested.
