The Voluntary Sector Open Forum is a regular place for the voluntary sector and City Council to sit down together to talk. The next meeting is on Thursday 10 July, at the Friends' Meeting House on Clarendon Street, NG1 5JD (map). The main point of discussion will be the review of grant aid. Ever wondered what all the fuss about the Local Area Agreement is? Community Network are inviting board members and community activists to an informal evening event to find out what the LAA means for your organisation. It’s also a perfect opportunity to network with other board members and share information about your group with others. There will even be tea and cake!

Come and join City Arts and Kinetika for a day of Carnival Arts at the Sycamore Centre, St Anns, NG3 4BN. It's on Saturday 14 June, 11.00am to 5.00pm. The event is part of the 'Holding Hands Around St Anns' celebration day, and all costumes, music and dance will be paraded from the Sycamore Centre to the Chase Neighbourhood Centre at 4.10pm.

Play England has warmly welcomed Fair Play, the government's consultation on a national play strategy. The strategy, backed by funding of £235m signifies the biggest ever policy commitment and investment in children's play that England has ever seen.
There is an open consultation and anyone is able to respond directly on-line here. However, Play England are happy to collate any responses if you would find this easier. If you would prefer to respond in this way just fill in this short questionnaire and send it back to shoare@ncb.org.uk.

Highly trained and experienced auditors will match your provision against 25 key issues identified by focus groups.
