Nottingham City PCT invite organisations to tender to provide a service to improve the health and well being of young people within the City Central Cluster of GP Practices. The work will involve engaging and empowering young people to make informed choices regarding their health and well-being and will contribute to reducing health inequalities and address the key target areas as set out in the PCT Local Operational Plan and Local Area Agreement.

Disabled people are welcome to come along to the Annual General Meeting of Nottinghamshire Disabled People's Movement on 8 July. The plan for the evening is to start with food/snacks, followed by speakers on the theme of accessible entertainment and then the AGM itself. Find out more.

Jan, Kevin, Leon, Nigel, Phil, Rachel, Sue and Vienna are raising money for a really worthy cause, the Danielle Beccan Memorial Trust. The trust was set up in the memory of Danielle who was tragically killed in November 2004 in Nottingham. The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) announced the new My Place funding in April this year. Locally and nationally there has been lots of interest in the potential for this funding. However, the criteria and limitations of actual funding to the East Midlands area mean we need to give careful consideration to putting forward the most likely application to be approved, so that young people in the city do not miss out.

Children's Workforce Development Council would like to commission up to 100 Practitioner-Led Research projects across England that explore the ways in which integrated working policies have been translated into practice throughout the children’s workforce. They want to hear from people who work with children and young people on a paid or voluntary basis or from groups of children and young people who use these services and are being supported by a paid worker or volunteer.
