You may be aware that secondary schools will be implementing the Personalised Learning Plan from September 2008 in order to address educational underachievement of identified groups of pupils in Nottingham schools. One Nottingham agreed an allocation of £711,411 to deliver the plan.
You are invited to attend a providers event to discuss schools’ commissioning from the VCS in relation to the Personalised Learning Plan. It's on Thursday 4 September, 2.00pm to 5.00pm at the Voluntary Action Centre on Mansfield Road. Read more.
The Nottinghamshire County Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Partnership would like to invite expressions of interest from Third Sector providers for a short term project with the following focus:
Enhancing the emotional health and resilience of vulnerable children and young people from a diverse minority background.

Healthy Minority Communities (HMC) is a new health programme launched by Co-operative Community Action in April of this year.
They are offering a free multilingual health advice drop-in service and appropriate signposting throughout Nottingham and through their home visit service. They can give advice on a range of issues including diet and nutrition, sexual health and fitness. They also offer a free counselling service. The Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind are proud to announce the launch of their new Social Activity and Events Service. Thanks to the information that many of you fed into the IMPACT Project they have been able to plan a series of fun and exciting events. The activities have been specifically designed to provide you with a range of new experiences as well as the chance to meet up and form friendships with other vision impaired people. The events.

The awards from Nottingham City Council offer the chance to give an individual or a group in Nottingham City the recognition they deserve, whether they're a local hero, a special carer or someone that's done something to help out your local neighbourhood.
Winners can also get a grant for a local charity or community group. Nominations can be made online at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk or www.trentfm.co.uk, at leisure centres or by calling 0115 9154065. The closing date is 5.00pm on Friday 19 September.
