Open for business
It's Community Network's open meeting on Monday 14 January, 2.00pm at the Voluntary Action Centre on Mansfield Road. The new chair of the Housing Partnership, Dorian Leatham, is top of the agenda. Come along to find out more about the partnership, ask your questions and share your views.

There will also be an update from the 2030 Visioning exercise many of you took part in at the last meeting, and the usual round up of what's happening in Nottingham. No need to book, just come along on the day.

The vote's in the post
Landing on the doorstep shortly of around 500 voluntary, community and faith groups working in Nottingham will be a voting form for the Black and Minority Ethnic voluntary sector representative for the One Nottingham Board. You'll have seen our articles encouraging people to put themselves forward - now it's your chance to vote. The deadline to vote is 12 noon on Friday 1 February.

Watch out for this conference
You are cordially invited to attend the Neighbourhood Watch Conference on Saturday 12 January at Nottingham Trent University. This is a very important event for neighbourhood watch in our City - come and show your support for the importance of neighbourhood watch schemes in Notts. Read the programme for the day.

Please register your interest for this free event using this booking form.

Healthy funding review
This is a national consultation reviewing Department of Health funding for the voluntary and community sector. The review is about how the Department spends the money they have got more effectively in the sector, rather than to review the amount of money itself.

The consultation event for the East Midlands is in Leicester on 22 January. Book your place to have your say.

Play revolution
Yes, it’s great news for Nottingham’s children! MP Graham Allen’s alluring headliner in the Nottingham Evening Post on 14 December highlights over £200 million for children’s play, attached to the children’s plan announced by Secretary of State for Children and Families, Ed Balls. Read more.
